On Neurodiversity and Neurodivergence
There are many types of brains that think, organise, dream and create differently. I think of us humans as an ecosystem of brains. Think of a forest with all the tall trees, medium trees, bushes, shrubs, grasses, lichens and mosses. All of these layers of plant diversity work together (with aid of light, soil, rock, animal etc) to create an ecological system. Thats how i see neurodiversity. It’s something we don’t yet fully understand yet. Definitions such as ‘autism’ and ‘ADHD’ etc are shifting as voices of lived experience of neurodivergence join in the collaboration towards understanding. Below are resources that I have found helpful. I am sharing them here in case you do too.
